Description

This is an early 19th-century house situated in a row on Patwell Street, Brutton. The exterior is constructed of local stone, now pebbledash rendered and colourwashed, with a Welsh slate roof and brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and it has two bays. It features 12-pane sash windows, with an additional window on the ground floor between the bays. A late 19th-century entrance was added to the lower bay, featuring a six-panel door, half-length sidelights, a shallow fanlight, and a bracketed, fascia-like timber door hood. Small-pane casements are visible in the two flat-roofed dormer windows. The interior has been recently restored and retains its early 19th-century character, including the original staircase, a cupboard underneath, dado rails, doors, and door cases. A portion of the ground floor was previously used as a shop.
