LONG SUTTON CP LANGPORT ROAD (South side) Pigeon House and attached outbuilding 4 metres west of Court House

Pigeon House and former barn. C17 probably. Local lias stone cut and squared laid almost dry; clay pantiles over stone slate base courses between stepped coped gables. Pigeon house of rectangular plan, with low boarded door in heavy frame to south east wall, indications of earlier roof: accommodation for about 1,000 birds under present three-bay double collar- truss roof: westwards a through roofed wagon-way, then a one-bay stable; the three westernmost bays now converted into a late C20 house, and of no special interest.
