Description
No. 1 West Quay, which also includes No. 2 Fore Street, is a house that has been converted into shops and offices. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of stucco with painted stone coping, a cornice, a platband, stepped voussoirs, and cills, topped with a hipped pantile roof that slopes to the left. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a four-window range. The front is shallowly curved, featuring flat arches above 6/6-pane sash windows. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts. The interiors have not been inspected.
