Description

This is a range of cattle sheds dating from the 19th century, located about 80 meters north-north-west of Yeabridge House. The structure is built from coursed rubble and features hipped plain clay tiled roofs in a 'U' plan. The main block has two storeys, while the side wings are single-storey. The north wing consists of 8 bays, which are now filled with 20th-century blockwork. The east and west wings have 6 and 7 bays respectively and open into a courtyard supported by timber posts. The roofs are supported by scissor trusses. Attached to the south gable of the east wing is a cast-iron pump with a handle and spout. A 20th-century building has been erected in the middle of the courtyard but is not of special interest. This range is part of an important group of 18th and 19th-century farm buildings.
