4/23 Monument to Mary Pittman in churchyard about 6m south-west of chancel of Church of St. Mary the Virgin

Headstone and grave kerbing. Dated 1718 to Mary Pittman. Ham stone and white lias. Simple oblong upright headstone with cambered top, very high quality and well-preserved lettering to east, inscription reads:- "Here Lyeth the Body of Mary the wife of John Pittman of this Parish who Departed this life The 22 day of March Anno Dom 17/1819, Beehold y place Where I do ly, As thou art now so once was I, As I am now so shall thou be, prepare for death and follow mee (sic)".
