Description

This headstone, located 2 meters south of the chancel at the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, dates from 1711 and is made of ironstone. It features a rectangular inscription panel above a chamfered lower frame, flanked by upright consoles and a small moulded cornice. The crown of the headstone displays a winged putti head with tasseled drops from the tips of its wings. The inscription reads: "Here lyeth the Body of Mary, Wife of John Parslowe who Departed this life August Ye 22, 1711 aged 33 years."
