Description

The Rouse monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 4 meters southeast of the tower of the Church of All Saints. It dates from the 17th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth on a stepped base, with plain slab sides and ends. The top has a heavy, shallow hipped design with a cyma recta mould coving. This monument commemorates Elizabeth, the wife of John Rouse, who died in 1640.
