Description
These stables and other outbuildings, located 10 metres north of Beer Farmhouse, date from the 19th century. They are constructed from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared, and feature a double Roman clay tile roof that is hipped at the east end with a plain gable at the west end. The building is single-storey and consists of 8 bays. There are boarded doors under timber lintels in bays 1, 4, 6, and 8, and a loft door in bay 7 with a flight of stone steps leading up to it. The remaining bays have plain casement windows, and the structure includes double collar roof trusses. This building is significant in relation to the context and setting of Beer Farmhouse.
