Description
Beer Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is built from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared, and it has a double Roman clay tile roof with coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. The sash windows have 12 panes and are set in plain surrounds, featuring gauged brick flat arches with small keystones. There is no window in the upper part of the fourth bay, while the lower part of the same bay has a 4-light casement window of an early pattern under a timber lintel, which is likely a reset feature, and there is a blocked doorway to the right. In the lower third bay, there is a 6-panelled door set in a timber-lined opening with a timber lintel. The interior has not been seen.
