Description
Lillesdon Court is a manor house that has been converted into a farmhouse. It dates back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed from blue lias rubble with Ham stone dressings, and features some brick on the south gable end. It has slate roofs with overhanging eaves and decorative bargeboards on the north gable end. A rebuilt 19th-century stack is located on the south gable end, and a tall stack rises from the eaves at the junction with the wing. The house has an F-plan layout with wings at the rear and stands two storeys high with an attic, comprising four bays.
All windows are hollow chamfered stone mullioned types under hood moulds, with three-light windows on the first floor featuring leaded glass in the centre. The ground floor has a three-light window on the left and five and three-light windows on the right, next to an Ionic column open pedimented doorcase that includes a fanlight and a partially glazed door. The end bay has a stepped buttress. The north gable end has a two-light mullioned casement with an old catch, and two three-light windows below it. The south gable end is adjacent to farm buildings and has a two-light window to the left of the rebuilt stack. There is a later kitchen attached to the southeast corner of the house. The interior has not been seen.
