Farmhouse. Early Cl8, some late C19 alteration and addition including a range at the rear. Coursed and squared rubble, double Roman tile roof, coped verges, end brick stacks. Probably cross-passage plan. Garden front of 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays, 2-light moulded stone-mullioned windows with leaded lights in cast-iron frames, some iron stanchions; 2 sixteen-pane sash windows to ground floor in rendered surrounds. Door opening between first and second bays from left, plank door with strap hinges in a dressed surround. Interior stated to have a fireplace with a broad wooden bressumer; winder staircase. The oldest building in the parish and pre-dating the general drainage of the surrounding moor in the late C18.
