Description

Langford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to around 1600, with alterations and additions from the 19th century. The construction is of coursed and squared rubble, with double-Roman tiled roofs. One roof has a finial, while there are two plain square 20th-century brick stacks and two cylindrical brick stacks, one of which has spiral flutings and a moulded cap. The main part of the house has two storeys and a 1:2:1 bay arrangement. The upper floor features 2-light stone mullioned windows, with a 2-light 20th-century casement window to the left. The ground floor has 3-light stone mullioned windows, all with labels and iron casements. A door opening is located between the bay sets to the right, leading to a studded plank door with iron strap hinges within a stop-moulded wooden frame. A simple 19th-century porch with a lean-to slated roof covers the entrance. A 19th-century range extends to the rear, featuring plain stone mullioned windows.
