Description
South Hill House is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a hipped slate roof and features wide bracketed eaves. The house has brick stacks with moulded caps and is designed in a Classical style with a symmetrical front. It stands two storeys tall and has three bays, each with 16-pane sash windows set in brick surrounds. The central entrance has a semi-circular head door opening, a fanlight, and a six-panelled door, all beneath a notable stone Tuscan portico adorned with triglyphs and paterae. To the right, there is a single bay outshut with ramped coping to the frontage and a sash window.
