Description
The gate piers, quadrant walls, secondary piers, and gates at the main driveway entrance to The Priory date from the mid-19th century, with the gates being from the early to mid-20th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared lias and freestone in a Free Gothic style. The principal piers are square in plan and feature stepped caps topped with obelisk finials, accompanied by short quadrant walls. The outer piers are plain with stepped caps, and there are ornamental wooden gates that are well-crafted.
