Description

South View is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th centuries. It is built of roughcast over stone with a thatched roof and brick stacks at the gable ends. The original layout comprised two rooms and a cross passage. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. The front elevation features a 2-light casement window to the left and a 2-light leaded iron casement dormer window to the right. The ground floor has 2-light casements flanking a central glazed porch with a timber-hung gable. The left return front, facing the road, also has 2-light casements. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
