Description
Corner Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th to early 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building is rendered over rubble and features a half hipped thatched roof. It has a brick stack at the rear gable end and a large external stepped stack on the left side, which includes a slated bread oven projection. The plan suggests it is probably a two-cell structure with an extension at the rear, and the gable end faces the road. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of one bay. It has 20th-century windows, including 4-light windows, and a part-glazed plank door to the right, which is topped with a gabled scalloped tile roof. There is also a 2-light casement window on the right return. The interior has not been viewed but is reported to be of interest.
