Description

A cottage, dating from the 17th century and altered in the 18th century. It is constructed with roughcast over rubble, with a thatched roof, half-hipped on the cross gable to the right. There is a rendered brick stack on the left gable end. The cottage is in an 'L' shape, with an original two-cell plan to which an addition was made at the rear. The two-storey, two-bay front has a four-light window with ovolo moulded mullions on the left side, and an early 19th-century three-light leaded iron casement window in the cross wing. The ground floor has three-light casements and a central half-glazed door, accompanied by a thatched hood supported by brackets. The interior was not inspected.
