ST4615 NORTON SUB HAMDON CP GREAT STREET (South side) 9/214 Summerhouse about 15 metres north west of the Manor House (formerly listed as Garden House immediately W. of the Manor House) 19.4.61 GV II* Garden house, now private house. C18. Ham stone ashlar; hipped plain clay tiled roof behind parapets; stone chimney stack. Single-storey, 5-bay south elevation. Plinth, cornice, shallow parapet with moulded coping, the centre bay projecting slightly with small pediment: semi-circular arched windows with flanking panelled-Tuscan pilasters and architraves, the centre bay being wider and higher; 18-pane casement windows with radially glazed fanlight to outer bays, to centre pair 6-pane french doors with 3 steps up under 'Y'-traceried fanlight, Small doorway in west side, with pediment hood on console brackets. C20 flat-roofed extension to north; interior not seen.
