Bridge And Adjacent Ruin Of Mill 20 Metres South West Of Bilboa House

The bridge and the adjacent ruin of the mill, located 20 meters southwest of Bilboa House, date back to the 17th century, with later alterations to the bridge. The bridge is constructed from Doulting rubble and features four low segmental archways with rough voussoirs and cutwaters between each arch. Above these arches, the roadway is elevated, supported by rubble parapets with cement capping. At the north end, there is a broader segmental arch that connects to a former leat. The ruined mill, situated to the west of the bridge, consists of two single-bay structures, each three stories high, both of which are missing roofs and floors. The mill features segmental head bead-moulded stone mullioned windows, along with others that have ovolo mouldings. Remnants of mill machinery can be found adjacent to the leat. This site is included primarily for its group value.
