Description
Templecombe Gate to Inwood is a 19th-century gateway. It features Portland stone gate piers and a wrought iron gate. The gate piers are designed in a cross plan, measuring approximately 600mm square overall. They have a moulded base and a panelled shaft, topped with a deep mould that has a shallow projection, along with steps and a ball finial. The gates themselves are very elaborate, designed in the French style with shaped tops. This gateway is part of a large estate that includes many notable collected items, although the main house, built in 1881, is of lesser interest and is not listed.
