Description

The Roundwell, located about 5 metres south of No 11 North Street, is a spring and washing place with an uncertain date, though the surrounding stonework may date back to the 18th century. It features a small square well, approximately 450 mm square, with a chamfered semi-circular arched stone on the north side and a stone slab roof above. The rubble walls line a channel that runs westwards, into which two stepping stones are set for access to the water.
