Description
Catford is a cottage dating from the 17th century, which was restored in the late 20th century. It is constructed of colourwashed random rubble with a thatched roof and stone stacks at the gable ends. The building has a plan consisting of two cells and a cross passage. It is one and a half storeys high and has three bays. The cottage features 20th-century casement windows, a gabled central dormer with a square hoodmould, and is flanked by eyebrow dormers. The ground floor has casement windows beneath ogee hood moulds, and there is a central thatched gabled rendered porch with an inserted cambered wooden lintel and a 20th-century glazed inner door. The end bays have stepped buttresses, while the right return has raking buttresses and a small stairlight window. The interior has not been viewed.
