Description
Higher Marsh Farm House is a 17th-century farmhouse built from local stone coursed rubble, topped with a triple roll clay tile roof that has stone slate base courses and simple gables. The building features stone rubble chimney stacks and is designed in a 'T' plan. It has two storeys and a North elevation with random fenestration, including three very early timber framed windows—two of which are chamfered and one with an ovolo mould—alongside 20th-century steel casements. The entrance includes a 20th-century door and a concrete block porch. Inside, there are several plain step chamfered beams, a timber camber-arched fireplace in the West gable, and a 'T' plan staircase with early turned balusters.
