Description
Binghams Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century with modifications. It is constructed from local stone rubble coursed, with ashlar and brick dressings, and features a stone slate roof with a coped east gable. The south extension has a plain clay tile hipped roof, and there are brick and rendered stone chimney stacks. The building has an 'L'-plan and consists of two storeys with four bays. The first bay is a two-bay projection, while the outer bay is a 20th-century extension that includes double six-pane sash windows in brick surrounds. The first bay of the return has single windows and a boarded door. In the inner projecting bay, there are three and four-light leaded casements, and bay two has a matching two-light casement above a boarded door set in a chamfered cambered arch. Bays three and four feature hollow chamfered mullioned windows with leaded lights, all two-light except for the lower bay four, which has a three-light window; the lower windows have labels. Additional mullioned windows can be found in the east gable, and there is a lean-to on the north side. The interior has not been seen.
