Description

The gates and gate piers of Mells Manor were designed around 1900 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The piers are made of Doulting ashlar stone and stand on moulded plinths, featuring moulded caps topped with carved figures of talbots. The gates themselves are a pair of cast iron gates, showcasing scrolled ironwork and crinkled uprights.
