Description

This retaining wall, built around 1810, is located approximately 10 metres west of the stables at Norton Manor. Constructed from yellow bricks in English bond, it features shaped coping and a dogtooth cornice. The wall steps down in stages from the centre and flares out at the base. It has a serpentine shape that follows the contours of the woodlands, decreasing in height from the centre. This wall serves as a notable landscape feature in the area.
