Description
Box Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Wells Road in Theale, Wedmore. It is constructed of painted rubble and features a double Roman tile roof with three brick ridge stacks. The building likely follows a cross passage plan and is two storeys high with three bays. The windows are 19th-century two-light casements that have horizontal glazing bars, with those on the ground floor set in reveals and featuring cambered heads. There is a door opening situated between the first and second bays, which contains a six-panelled door with the centre panel of the top three being glazed. Inside, the farmhouse has exposed ceiling beams.
