Description
Ben Ash Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Main Street in Walton. It is constructed of coursed and squared lias rubble with a double-Roman tile roof and three brick ridge stacks. The house follows a cross-passage plan, with two storeys and three bays. It has 20th-century casement windows in a traditional style, with those on the first floor positioned directly under the eaves. A recessed door opening is centrally positioned, with a 20th-century door and sidelight. The interior retains a cross-beamed ceiling, two fireplaces featuring broad wooden bressumers, an 18th-century panelled door, and a winder staircase.
