Description

The Old Vicarage is an early 19th-century house located on Wells Road in Wedmore. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a slate roof and end stacks built of ashlar, featuring moulded caps. The house has a symmetrical facade with a uniform arrangement of windows. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows; the ground floor has 16-pane sash windows, all set in plain stone surrounds. A central door opening is accessed via a broken doorcase topped with a cornice and triangular pediment supported by two engaged Tuscan columns. Window shutters are present, and 6-panelled doors lead to the ground floor rooms.
