Description

Ford House is an early 19th-century house situated in Chewton Mendip. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with dressed alternating quoins, and has coped verges and a slate roof, with ashlar stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features stone mullioned windows, with two and three lights per window. A central door opening is present, with a six-panelled door, where the top four panels are glazed, sheltered by a slab hood resting on ornamental stone brackets.
