Description

The Priddle monument is a chest tomb located about 5 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St. Margaret on St Margaret's Road. It dates from the later 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The base is buried, and each face features one fielded panel, with coffer-panelled pilasters on the flanks. The tomb has a moulded coving on its hipped top, which has rounded leading edges. This monument commemorates John Priddle, who died in 1775, along with other family members.
