Description

The walls enclosing the garden and abutting the south boundary wall to the Church of All Saints in Nynehead were built in the late 18th century and altered in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with saddle-back brick coping. The walls enclose a rectangular garden at Nynehead Court, with the north wall continuing west as the boundary wall to the Church of All Saints. The walls are approximately 3 meters high, likely higher on the east side where the ground slopes away. The center section on the west side has been taken down and rebuilt to about 300 millimeters high, while the wall on the north side by the church is reduced to about 1.5 meters. There is a concrete lintel above a square-headed opening in the north-west corner, double gates on the north front, and an arched opening on the east front. These walls contribute to a notable group of structures in the area.
