Description
The walls enclosing a large walled garden, located beside the lane opposite Ashtead House and north of the Headmaster's House, are likely from the late 18th century. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and topped with stone copings. The total length of the walls is approximately 130 metres from the north-east to the south-west, with a maximum depth of about 60 metres. The northern boundary of the garden is curved, while the eastern boundary follows the line of the lane. The garden is divided into two parts by a cross-wall running from the north-west to the south-east. Most of the walls stand around 4 metres high, featuring ramps on the side facing the lane, and there are doorways located on the north side and at the south end of the cross-wall.
