Description

PITMINSTER CP ST22SW POUNDISFORD 6/209 Cartshed, about 125 east of Poundisford Farmhouse II Cartshed. Circa 1840. Squared uncoursed blue lias and yellow sandstone, half hipped corrugated iron roof.Plan:free standing 5-bay cartshed,open both ends,facing north-west south-east. Small chamfered S-shaped braces at the half hip junctions on exterior, interior king post roof. Originally thatched. A good example of a C19 cartshed.
