Description
This is a cartshed located about 125 metres east of Poundisford Farmhouse, built around 1840. It is constructed from squared uncoursed blue lias and yellow sandstone, topped with a half hipped corrugated iron roof. The structure is a free-standing, five-bay design that is open at both ends and faces north-west and south-east. It features small chamfered S-shaped braces at the half hip junctions on the exterior and has an interior king post roof. Originally, the cartshed was thatched, making it a good example of a 19th-century cartshed.
