Description

HORSINGTON CP ST62SE 6/57 Range of outbuildings attached to North of, and enclosing yard to West of, Manor Farmhouse GV II Stables, Coach House and other outbuildings. 1875. Local stone cut and squared with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roofs mostly hipped, but with some coped gables. 'L' -plan. Mostly one storey, but 2-storey in the stable section North of the courtyard. West wing of 4 bays, with two segmental arches for coaches, one with doors, then cast iron windows in simple ashlar surround and plain boarded door; return stable block of 2 bays, with cast iron windows to both levels, the upper having triangular heads projecting into small gabled dormers, plain door between bays; then 4 bays single-storey block containing mostly domestic outbuildings, linked by return to North East corner of the Manor Farmhouse (qv).Matching elevation to North. Part of complete model (? stud) farm complex, little altered.
