6/58 Block of Stable buildings 30 metres North of Manor Farmhouse

Stables. 1875. Local stone cut and squared with ashlar dressings, hipped slate roofs; ashlar chimney stack to East wing. 'F'-plan. Single- storey, North bock 7+17 bays, West wing 7 bays, East wing 6 bays. No windows, but small pierced cast iron grilles in plain ashlar surrounds; segmental arched doorways between bays 4 and 5 and in bay 7 of west wing, and in bays 4 and 13 of Main North block; to bay 9 of this block similar doorway with pointed cast iron window and gable over; another doorway in bay 1 of East wing: the extended North wing has stable doors in bay 4 and a left door in a gablet to bay 7. Linking east and West wings to form a substantial yard in a cut and squared stone wall with shaped ashlar copings; with openings in centre. Part of a complete model (? stud) farm complex of 1875, little altered.
