Description
This is a chest tomb from the late 17th century located in the churchyard, 15 metres east of the northeast corner of the Church of St. Philip and St. James. It is made of Doulting stone and features a buried plinth. The tomb has six panels that are bead-moulded and adorned with carved leaf pattern borders on the sides. Cherubs are depicted on the end panels, and there are pilasters with richly carved leaf pattern moulded cornices. The top is heavy and flat, with a cyma recta and torus moulded edge.
