Description

This is a 17th-century cottage located on the north-west side of Church Street in Norton St. Philip. The cottage is built of roughly coursed rubble Doulting stone, with a gabled roof covered in stone slates. A chimney stack is located at the rear. The two--storey, three-window front features a plain, square-headed entrance doorway positioned below the third window. The windows are casements with 2 and 3 lights, set within square-chamfered stone mullions. The window above the entrance has ovolo moulded glazing. It is believed that Tudor Cottage, together with Sable Cottage (listed separately), may have once been part of a single dwelling.
