Description
Fairfield Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of roughly coursed rubble Doulting stone and features a double Roman clay tile gable roof, which is shared with the adjoining cottage, along with end chimney stacks. The building is two stories tall and has a four-window front, with the entrance located beneath the second window. The entrance consists of a four-moulded panel door that has a drip mould, which steps down and continues across the front as a weathered string. The windows include one three-light casement and the rest are two-light, two-pane casements, all set within 18th-century square chamfered stone mullion frames.
