Description
Church Farmhouse is a pair of cottages that have been combined into a single cottage, dating from the 17th century. The building is constructed of random rubble, with some coursed Doulting stone, and features a double Roman clay tile gabled roof. It has a central brick chimney stack and an end ashlar stone chimney stack. The structure is two stories high with a basement and has a four-window front. There is a blocked entrance located between the second and third windows, and an entrance between the third and fourth windows.
The entrance features an edge-moulded flat stone hood slab supported by carved brackets, leading to a six-panel door where the top two panels are glazed. The ground floor has two and three-light casement windows with 20th-century six-pane glazing, while the first floor has 19th-century two-pane lights. The left side of the building has chamfered stone mullion frames with a weathered string course at the first floor level. To the left of the entrance, there are moulded stone mullion windows with a stopped drip mould on the ground floor. On the right side of the entrance, there is a 16-pane casement window with a drip mould above it.
