Description

The School is a building dating from 1827, designed by J. Thompson. It is constructed from ashlar and coursed Doulting stone and features two-stage, coupled angle buttresses with pinnacles, battlemented parapets, and end gables. The roof is made of Welsh slate and includes a central iron ventilator. This single-storey building is rectangular in plan and showcases Gothic revival style elements. There are entrance porches at each end made of ashlar stone, with octagonal angle buttresses topped with finials, plain parapets, and chamfered four-centred door openings. The east elevation has four two-light windows with nine panes of 20th-century glazing, which have four-centred arch heads and arched dripmoulds.
