Description

The Norton St Philip War Memorial is a First World War memorial built in 1920, with alterations made after the Second World War. It is made of granite and stands approximately 3.6 metres high. The memorial features a wheel cross on a tapering shaft, which is set on a rough-hewn base surrounded by granite blocks. The shaft is inscribed with the words: "TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF (NAMES) WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 1939-1945 (NAMES)."
