Description

This is a cottage, likely dating from the 19th century, situated in a row along The Borough in Montacute. The exterior is constructed of Ham stone ashlar, with a Welsh slate roof of a shallow pitch and a stepped coped north gable. A yellow brick chimney stack is also present. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. It features windows with chamfered mullions, now containing horizontal-bar casements. The upper windows are two-light, while the lower window in the first bay has three lights and a label. A chamfered, cambered-arched doorway with a deep lintel and label provides access, incorporating a boarded door with two lights. The interior has not been inspected.
