Description
No. 6 The Borough is a cottage located at the end of a row, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof that has stone slate base courses. The roof features a stepped coped gable on the south side and an abutment on the north side, along with a brick chimney stack at one end. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of a single bay. It has a plinth and an eaves course, with hollow-chamfered mullioned windows set in wave-mould recesses; there is a 4-light window with a label below and a 3-light window above without a label. The south gable includes a chamfered 4-centre arched doorway, with a blacked 3-centre arched opening above it, and a small 20th-century casement window to the right. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
