Description

Milestone located on the east side of Bath Road in Beckington, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features an attached cast iron hipped top. The milestone has raised lettering indicating the distances to Bath (10 miles), Warminster (7 miles), and Frome (3 miles). It was erected for the Black Dog Turnpike Trust.
