Description
No. 17 Bath Road is a house that is part of a row, dating from the 17th century with alterations from the late 18th century. It is constructed from Doulting rubble with dressed flush quoins on the right side and features a slate roof with a brick ridge stack. The facade is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and a basement across two bays. It has three-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, with each light containing a narrow sash window that has glazing bars. The central door opening is framed by a moulded stone surround and features a late 18th-century six-panelled door. This door is accessed by three stone steps that are set at right angles to the facade, along with a wrought iron handrail and railings. To the left of the main entrance, there are five stone steps leading down to the basement, which has a plank door.
