Description

No. 2 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with dressed quoins, has coped verges, and features a slate roof with ashlar end stacks that have moulded caps. The building has a symmetrical front with two storeys and three bays, which include 16-pane sash windows set in plain stone surrounds. The central door opening is framed by a chamfered stone surround and features a six-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. Above the door, there is a moulded slab hood supported by shaped stone brackets. The front ground floor openings have panelled window shutters.
