Description

Sunnyside is a house located at the end of a row on The Green, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of Ham stone ashlar with a hipped Welsh slate roof and features brick end chimney stacks. The house is designed in a villa style, standing two storeys high with three bays. It has sash windows with 16 panes in plain openings. The lower bay two features a Regency-style five-panel door with a glazed toplight set in a slight recess, surrounded by a beaded frame.

On the east gable, there is a single-storey coachhouse, now used as a garage, which has a lean-to roof, swept coped gables, and a three-centre arched doorway. A wing wall with swept coping and a ball finial is located at the south-east corner, concealing the extension of the adjoining property.

The interior has not been seen. Four metres south of the house, there are boundary railings set on low stone walling, made of cast and wrought iron, standing about one metre high. These railings feature plain arrowheads on the top and middle rails, with arched links between each rail and urn finials on the standards. There are matching gates in the centre opposite the door, and the railings return back to the garage and south-west corner, enhancing the setting of the house and The Green.
