Description
No 22 High Street is a house dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble and has a rendered front elevation. The roof is made of plain clay tiles and features a simple gable and abutment, along with brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two bays with irregular window arrangements.
The entrance is a plain door located in the left-hand corner, sheltered by a timber hood with a lead bell-curve roof. In the first bay, there is an 8-pane sash window that is set flush with a moulded wood surround. The second bay features a matching one-storey bay window with a lead flat roof. Above these windows, there is a 3-light small-pane casement window centered between them.
On the west side elevation, there is a 6-panel door with glazed toplights beneath a timber lintel. The interior has not been seen. This building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
