Description
Nos 30 and 32 on High Street are cottages that date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from local stone rubble and feature a plain clay tile mansard roof supported by abutments, along with brick chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and consist of three bays in total. Bay 1, which is No. 32, has 12-pane sash windows beneath exposed timber lintels and a boarded door with a moulded timber hood on brackets to the left. Bay 2 includes a plain flat-headed archway for access, a simple shop window beneath a plain fascia board, and above it, two 2-light horizontal bar casement windows, along with a small flat-roofed dormer window. The interiors have not been seen. These cottages are primarily included for their group value.
